Description

The Across Alliance is developing a federated knowledge graph (KG) to represent and interlink data from various partner universities. This unified data layer is crucial for enabling cross-border learning and research. However, ensuring the quality of data in a federated context is a significant challenge. While various methods for measuring quality in knowledge graphs, linked data, and general data management exist, a comprehensive framework for a distributed and constantly evolving environment like the Across KG is still missing. This project aims to combine suitable approaches to create a quality management framework, with a specific focus on semantic quality and the federated approach. The developed framework will be applied to the current version of the Across KG to propose and implement concrete measures for quality improvement. The enhanced federated Across KG will then be re-evaluated to measure the success of the applied measures.
