The professorship offers 7 courses within its Bachelor and Master programs on Parallel and Distributed Systems as well as Data & Web Engineering.

The professorship offers numerous research topics for Diplom, Bachelors, Master, and PhD students within areas related to the Internet and the World Wide Web.

Additionally, the chair offers training on the job opportunities to students as student assistants (Studentische Hilfskraft).

We offer our students a modern research infrastructure with mobile devices (like Samsung Galaxy SIII, Galaxy Tab 2...), development servers for cloud computing and a Microsoft Surface multi-touch unit.

Our process of development

We apply modern methods of agile software development like Scrum, XP and Lean Management. Our student are working in teams to learn the process of development. On our build management and continuous integration servers we automate the build process and tests suites are run to confirm, that the program behaves as the developer expect it to behave.
