Project information knowledge extraction
Doing a research project is one of the core activities of universities in Germany. The research projects can be funded by many institutions, e.g., EU, DFG BMBF, SMWK, or Industry. However, the project information knowledge is distributed and stored in different funding agency databases, which leads to the difficulty of collecting, aggregating, and analyzing data.
The objective of this master thesis is to find an approach or a combination of approaches to automatically extract the project information knowledge from different data sources, which is the first step in the process of data aggregation. This particularly includes the state of the art regarding data extraction and data engineering. The demonstration of feasibility with an implementation prototype of the concept is part of this thesis as well as a suitable evaluation with exemplary use cases.
