The outsourcing of data in the cloud is growing continuously for years. Since the year 2011 cloud service providers reported a steady growth and increase sales. This trend is associated with the appearance that many users use multiple devices, including smartphones, for their daily use. The advantages that are achieved by the use of the cloud for private users as well as for companies are numerous. But currently are moving aspects such as security and integrity of data more and more in the focus of the user. A survey conducted in 2014 states that 64% of the participants are more concerned about their data and privacy than before. Therefore security of outsourced data is more important than ever. The goal of this work is to analyze current approaches to secure cloud data and evaluate an appropriate approach by developing a prototype within the Data Grid Service.
