Our VSR team member Sebastian Heil successfully defended his PhD thesis “Web Migration Revisited Adressing Effort and Risk Concerns” on 24 September 2020. We congratulate Sebastian to his achievement and are happy to further work with him in our VSR research group at Chemnitz University of Technolgy in the future.

We are very happy and proud to announce, that our research on “Improving Fake Product Detection using AI-based Technology” got an Outstanding Paper award at the 18th International Conference on e-Society 2020 . Congratulations to our VSR members Eduard Daoud, Dang Vu Nguyen Hai, Hung Nguyen and Martin Gaedke!

Our external PhD student Christian Hochmuth successfully defended his PhD thesis “Strategic planning of technical capacity in complex production systems: mathematical optimization of graphical models with the software AURELIE” on 27 February 2020. We congratulate Christian to his achievement and wish him all the best for his future.

Our VSR professorship is part of the newly established ESF-funded Young Researcher Group DYNAMIK Within the next three years, we will do excellent research on a Dynamic navigation and orientation system for physicallyimpaired people in complex buildings, together with the Professorships for Circuit and System Design, Media Computer Science and Media Psychology.

We wish all our students excellent results in the up-coming exam period. The VSR exams will take place as Open-Book exams in written form on the following dates: Please check the Prüfungsplan in advance for any changes.

In January 2020, the CRC 1410 Hybrid Societies started its activities at Chemnitz University of Technology. Within this Collaborative Research Center, our VSR professorship leads the activities on a sustainable, cross-domamin information infrastructure together with the professorship for private law and intellectual property of Prof. Dr. Gesmann-Nuissl.
